Sizzlipede Debuts at Pokémon Go's Bug Out Event Return

Get ready, Pokémon Go enthusiasts, because the Bug Out event is buzzing back into the game from March 26th to 30th. This thrilling event introduces the debut of Sizzlipede and its evolution, Centiskorch, along with a swarm of Bug-type Pokémon to capture and train.

Lure Modules will be your best friend during this event. Not only will they attract Sizzlipede, but they’ll also enhance the number of Pokémon appearing at a PokéStop if you manage to catch enough Pokémon using a single Lure Module.

During the Bug Out event, you'll double your XP and receive extra Candy for Nice Throws or better, with higher chances of obtaining Candy XL for trainers level 31 and up. Shiny hunters, rejoice! Your odds of encountering Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede are significantly boosted.

Expect to see a variety of Bug-types in the wild, including frequent appearances from Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, Nincada, Venipede, Dwebble, Joltik, Grubbin, Dewpider, and Nymble. Keep an eye out for the elusive Cutiefly as well.

Sizzlipede will make its raid debut in one-star raids, alongside Scyther and Nincada. Meanwhile, three-star raids will feature Beedrill, Scizor, and Kleavor. Completing event-themed Field Research tasks will grant you Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with event Pokémon.

Don’t miss out on the free Timed Research, which offers encounters with Shedinja, Sizzlipede, Kleavor, and more, plus a Lure Module. If you're looking for additional rewards, consider the Paid Timed Research option for $2 or its local equivalent, which includes encounters with Heracross, Sizzlipede, and Kleavor, as well as two Premium Battle Passes and an extra Lure Module.

New Collection Challenges will reward you with Stardust, XP, and Pokémon encounters, while PokéStop Showcases will spotlight event-themed Pokémon. Make sure to check out the in-game shop for the new Sizzlipede Boots and Scolipede Jacket to complete your Bug Out look.
