Among the most anticipated updates are the Beta Mod SDK Kit and ongoing A-Life system improvements, both of which are set to significantly enhance player freedom and immersion.

The Mod SDK Kit will be tested in a closed beta with select mod creators before being made available to the public. The team also plans to integrate platforms like Mod.io and Steam Workshop, making it easier than ever for players to discover and install mods.

As for the A-Life system, GSC is continuing its work on NPC behavior and environmental simulation. Following a massive 110 GB Christmas patch that brought significant AI upgrades, this next phase focuses on persistent A-Life enhancements and more realistic combat behaviors such as improved cover usage, flanking tactics, and controlled grenade deployment.
