Tom Hardy's MobLand Returns for S2

Craving more of Tom Hardy and Pierce Brosnan's gripping crime drama? Yearning for another season of Helen Mirren's electrifying performance? Great news—Paramount+ has officially greenlit MobLand for Season 2.

The streamer reports a staggering 26 million viewers since the series debuted on March 30, making renewal inevitable given its star-studded cast. MobLand now ranks as Paramount+'s second most-watched original series to date.

Alongside Hardy, Brosnan, and Mirren, the ensemble features Paddy Considine (House of the Dragon) and Joanne Froggatt (Downton Abbey). The series centers on Hardy's Harry Da Souza, a troubleshooter working for Brosnan's crime patriarch Conrad Harrigan. Its official synopsis describes "two generations of gangsters, their empires, complex relationships, and the man who solves their problems."

"MobLand's phenomenal success—surpassing 26 million viewers worldwide—owes everything to producers Guy Ritchie, Jez Butterworth, Ronan Bennett, and David C. Glasser, alongside Tom, Pierce, and Helen's powerhouse performances," said Chris McCarthy, Paramount co-CEO. "We're thrilled to continue this global phenomenon that topped charts internationally and became the UK's #1 series."

Season 1 currently boasts a 75% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes and remains available for streaming—though Season 2's premiere date remains undisclosed.

During May's promotional tour, Hardy reflected on how action-heavy roles like Venom and Mad Max: Fury Road impacted his health as he nears 50.

"Two knee surgeries, a herniated disc, sciatica—it adds up," confessed the 47-year-old actor.

"Then there's plantar fasciitis appearing out of nowhere. Add a torn hip tendon—my body's basically falling apart at this point, with no signs of recovery."
