Tony Hawk's Pro Skater Celebrates 25 Years with Exciting News!

As the legendary Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series approaches its 25th anniversary, skateboarding icon Tony Hawk himself has confirmed that Activision is working on a special project to commemorate this milestone. The details remain shrouded in secrecy, but Hawk assures fans it will be something truly special.

During a recent appearance on YouTube's Mythical Kitchen, Hawk revealed the exciting collaboration with Activision, stating, "We're working on something—This is the first time I've said that publicly." While specifics are under wraps, he promises a project fans will appreciate.
The original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater launched on September 29, 1999, and propelled the franchise to massive success. Numerous sequels followed, and a remastered collection of THPS 1+2 was released in 2020. Plans for remastered versions of Pro Skater 3 and 4 were once in the works but ultimately cancelled due to the closure of Vicarious Visions.
THPS on Threads
In the lead-up to the anniversary, official THPS social media accounts have shared celebratory artwork and a giveaway of the THPS 1+2 Collector's Edition.
The recent announcements have fueled speculation about a potential new game announcement, perhaps coinciding with a rumored Sony State of Play event this month. However, no confirmation has been made regarding whether this project is a new game or a continuation of the abandoned remaster project.
