Urshifu and Gigantamax Machamp Debut at Pokémon GO's Final Strike: GO Battle Week

As the Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO draws to a close, the excitement peaks with the Final Strike: GO Battle Week. Set to commence on May 21st, 2025, and concluding on May 27th, this week is your opportunity to see your Kubfu reach its ultimate potential. The week is all about evolving Kubfu into the legendary Urshifu, available in two distinct forms: Single Strike and Rapid Strike.

To evolve Kubfu into the Single Strike style of Urshifu, make Kubfu your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike style, you'll need to take down 30 Water-type Pokémon in the same manner during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week. This is your chance to choose the path that aligns with your battling style.

Alongside the evolution quests, a Special Research storyline continues the season's narrative, available until June 3rd, 2025. Engaging with this research will reward you with Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon like Charcadet, complete with a Special Background. This adds another layer of excitement to the week's events.

May 25th Is a Special Day

Mark your calendar for May 25th, as it's designated as the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Gigantamax Machamp will make its debut in six-star Max Battles. This event brings along several bonuses to enhance your gameplay. You'll need to travel only one-fourth the usual distance to earn Max Particles, and the storage cap for Max Particles will increase to 1,600. Power Spots will exclusively host Gigantamax Battles, offering 8× Max Particles, and you'll have the chance to make two additional Special Trades.

Don't overlook the Max Mushrooms during the event. These items temporarily double the damage of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can stack them to extend the duration, although the power boost remains constant.
