Blizzard has unveiled exciting new details about the upcoming in-game housing system in World of Warcraft: Midnight. Although the expansion won't be available until after The War Within, as part of the Worldsoul saga, early previews have showcased a level of customization that exceeds many players' expectations. A recent developer blog included in-game videos that demonstrated the functionality of furniture placement, revealing a user-friendly grid system with automatic snapping. This allows players to effortlessly arrange items, and even decorate larger objects like shelves or tables with smaller accessories that remain attached during movement.
The housing system introduces two distinct modes: a Basic Mode designed for straightforward organization, and an Advanced Mode tailored for creative builders. In Advanced Mode, players have the freedom to rotate objects along all three axes and stack them in innovative ways, enabling the creation of complex and visually appealing interiors.

A standout feature of the system is the ability to scale objects, catering to the different sizes of characters. This means that gnomes can design more intimate and cozy spaces, whereas larger races like tauren can opt for more expansive layouts. Additionally, certain furniture pieces designed specifically for the housing system will support recoloring, although legacy assets may not offer this capability.
With World of Warcraft: Midnight still months away, Blizzard is keeping the community engaged by regularly teasing upcoming content, ensuring that players remain excited and eager for the game’s future updates.
