Amazon's Top-Selling Game: Donkey Kong Bananza

It's official: Donkey Kong Bananza is currently the top-selling game on Amazon. Given the immense popularity of the Switch 2, it makes perfect sense that this highly anticipated title is climbing Amazon's best-seller charts.

At the time of writing, the game holds the 11th spot on Amazon's official chart—the highest position for any individual game—closely followed by the critically acclaimed Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (PS5), and trailing only the usual staples like various Roblox, PlayStation, and Xbox gift cards.

Another Switch 2 product joining DK on the best-seller list is an affordable third-party screen protector set for the Nintendo Switch 2, now listed at just $8.99—$4 off its original $12.99 price.

With Donkey Kong Bananza's July 17 release date approaching, Amazon recently reopened preorders for the game after ending its long-standing freeze with Nintendo of America and once again listing first-party Nintendo titles.

While the Switch 2 console is not yet available for purchase directly from the online retailer, this could be a sign that stock will arrive soon.

The game isn't the only Donkey Kong item available for preorder, either. An adorable amiibo featuring the new dynamic duo of Donkey Kong and Pauline is also up for grabs, set to launch on July 17 as well—so you can get both items ready on release day.

Our first hands-on preview of Donkey Kong Bananza gave us plenty to look forward to. IGN's Logan Plant noted: "If you were disappointed that the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct didn’t feature a big, flashy 3D Mario, let me assure you—Donkey Kong Bananza feels like the sequel to that formula we’ve been waiting for, just starring the giant ape instead."
