Techland describes Dying Light: The Beast as an "open-world action survival horror hybrid," set in the treacherous Castor Woods region where survival demands mastery of all available tools.

"You play as Kyle Crane, having endured years of the Baron's torturous experiments before finally breaking free," Techland explains. "Now part-zombie, you battle to control your monstrous transformation while seeking vengeance against your tormentor."

This standalone chapter in Techland's apocalyptic universe is available for pre-order, offering the Hero of Harran bundle with exclusive rewards including the Ultimate Survivor Outfit, Harran Combat Knife, and Follower Crossbow.
