Elden Ring adds classes in Switch 2 edition

Elden Ring is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 as the Tarnished Edition, bringing exclusive content including new playable classes and Torrent customization options. FromSoftware's acclaimed open-world RPG will feature fresh armor sets and character builds when it arrives on Nintendo's next-gen console.

New Character Classes and Customization Options

During the "FROMSOFTWARE GAMES EVENT Spring 2025" in Tokyo, developers revealed two new character classes coming in the Tarnished Edition: the Knight of Ides and Heavy Armored Knight. While details remain scarce, these will be among four new armor sets included with the edition, with the other two sets available through in-game progression.

Torrent enthusiasts will be pleased to discover the spectral steed is receiving three new visual appearances. While these additions are included in the Switch 2's Tarnished Edition (which bundles the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion), FromSoftware confirmed the content will also reach other platforms via the budget-friendly Tarnished Pack DLC.
