A Reddit user unearthed a game-breaking bug in Marvel Rivals that disproportionately affects players with less powerful computers. The problem? Low FPS (frames per second) directly impacts several heroes, causing them to move slower and inflict less damage! Given Marvel Rivals' demanding PC hardware requirements, this effectively transforms the game into a pay-to-win experience – but instead of paying the developers, players are forced to invest in better PC components.
This is clearly a serious bug, not an intended game mechanic. However, a swift fix isn't likely. The underlying issue stems from the Delta Time parameter – a crucial element ensuring consistent game performance regardless of frame rate. Without delving into complex technicalities, resolving this Delta Time-related problem will require considerable developer time.
Several Marvel Rivals heroes are confirmed to be affected:
These characters exhibit reduced movement speed, lower jump heights, and decreased damage output. Other heroes may also be impacted. Until a patch is released, the most practical solution is to optimize your FPS, even if it means compromising visual fidelity.
