Netflix and Supercell have announced that they are bringing the Clash video game series to television with an animated show set in the Clash of Clans and Clash Royale universe.
The series, currently in pre-production, will "expand on the chaotic fun of the games," as stated in a Netflix press release. The streaming platform also shared the plot, which centers on "a determined but overwhelmed Barbarian who must unite a band of outsiders to protect their village and navigate the hilariously convoluted politics of warfare."
Official Clash of Clans social media channels also joined in the announcement excitement. "Sound the horns, raise the banners, and fortify your village defenses—Clash is taking over @Netflix!" they posted, along with a charming teaser video where the developers announce the project through a playful group FaceTime chat. "We're creating a new animated series starring your favorite mustachioed Barbarian and his squeaky-voiced, hog-riding allies. Charge!"

The Netflix team also appears thrilled to finally adapt this game in an entirely new format. "Clash has been a worldwide gaming phenomenon for more than ten years, packed with humor, action, and memorable characters that make it ideal for an animated series adaptation," said John Derderian, Vice President of Animation.
"Collaborating with the fantastic team at Supercell, Fletcher Moules, and Ron Weiner, we're translating all the fun, chaos, and spirit of the Clash world into a fresh medium. We're excited for both longtime fans and newcomers to dive into the action."
