Pokémon Go Hosts Halloween Haunted Tea Party

Pokémon Go's Halloween festivities return this year with a uniquely eerie theme: a haunted tea party. The event runs from October 21st at 10:00 a.m. to October 27th, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. local time.

Who’s invited to the haunted tea party in Pokémon Go?

All trainers are invited! The celebration marks the debut of Poltchageist and Sinistcha, known as the Matcha Pokémon. These new additions bring a unique spectral energy; Poltchageist evolves into Sinistcha with 50 Candy. For the first time, you may also encounter a Shiny Sinistea during the event.

The Halloween 2025 Go Pass offers multi-tiered rewards. Reaching major milestones unlocks bonuses: Tier 1 provides double Catch Candy (triple with the Go Pass Deluxe).

Tier 2 increases the chance for trainers level 31 and above to obtain Candy XL from successful catches. Tier 3 doubles transfer Candy and further boosts the odds of receiving Candy XL.

Wild spawns will feature Zorua, Hisuian Zorua, Greavard, and Sinistea. Their shiny variants may also appear.

The Halloween vibe continues through the Raid lineup

One-Star Raids will include Galarian Yamask, Sinistea, and Poltchageist. Three-Star Raids escalate the challenge with Alolan Marowak, plus Hisuian Typhlosion and Samurott.

Adding to the spook factor, Shadow Raids debut with Shadow Yamask and Shadow Phantump. Completing Field Research tasks can lead to encounters with Sableye, Yamask, Zorua, Hisuian Zorua, Litwick, Vullaby, and Phantump. A rare chance for a Spiritomb encounter also exists.

The iconic Lavender Town music completes the atmosphere, returning as a special nightly remix for the haunted tea party. Watch the video below to preview the spooky soundtrack.
