Hylea's Talon: A Guide to Acquiring Avowed's Rare Upgrade Material

Hylea's Talon is a crucial, rare upgrade material in Avowed. This guide details several methods for obtaining it, ensuring you're well-equipped for the game's challenging areas.

Fastest Methods: Merchants

The quickest way to acquire Hylea's Talon is by purchasing it from merchants. Lluisa Melcer (Farmer's Market) and Abritt Porrya (Piaza Mez Vidarro), located in the early Emerald Stair areas, each sell up to 5 Talons for 450 coins apiece.

Exploration and Foraging

Similar to Paradisan Ladder, Hylea's Talon can be found as a plant throughout Emerald Stair and other game locations. The mini-map icon (shown above, left) indicates its presence. Active exploration during the Emerald Stair missions will yield a significant amount.

Crafting and Downgrading

Resourceful players can craft Hylea's Talon. Four Paradisan Ladders can be combined at the party camp workbench to create one Talon. Alternatively, players with excess Admeth's Wyrt can downgrade it into Hylea's Talon using the "Downgrade" option in the workbench's "Upgrade Materials" section.
