Koei Tecmo unveils a new trailer for Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation PRISM, a romance game spin-off from their popular fighting game franchise.
Launching March 27th on PS5, PS4, and PC, the game features a special Asian "global version" with English text support. Players can engage in mini-games, customize character appearances, and bask in the tropical island setting. The developers promise numerous avenues for developing relationships with the heroines and a deeply immersive romantic narrative.
Venus Vacation PRISM represents a bold departure for Dead or Alive fans, offering a unique gameplay experience while retaining the series' distinctive style.
However, even this innovative approach has its limitations, as highlighted by the ongoing battle against fan-created content. Koei Tecmo annually removes approximately 200-300 doujinshi and 2,000-3,000 images featuring the game's characters. The Dead or Alive series, known for its gameplay and attractive female characters often depicted in swimwear, inevitably attracts fan-made "adult" content. While appreciating fan art, the developers actively combat this trend.
