Bethesda and id Software unveiled a new DOOM: The Dark Ages gameplay demo during the Xbox showcase, confirming earlier leaks of a May 15th release date.
Transporting players to a medieval setting, The Dark Ages offers a distinct gameplay experience compared to DOOM: Eternal. Instead of frenetic parkour, the focus shifts to a more grounded, brutal combat style. Players will embody a powerful, tank-like character, utilizing a heavy arsenal to obliterate demons.
Central to this destructive arsenal are a shield and mace. A significant addition is the inclusion of a giant mech, providing a powerful advantage against smaller demons. Furthermore, players will even get to ride a dragon during the campaign!
The game boasts a customizable difficulty system, allowing players to fine-tune the challenge by adjusting enemy damage and other parameters.
