While boasting impressive visuals, Tides of Annihilation suffers from a familiar narrative. Recent soulslike games have successfully reimagined classic stories – "Journey to the West" offered Western audiences a fresh perspective, and Lies of P's Pinocchio twist proved unexpectedly compelling. However, the Arthurian tale feels overused, leaving Tides of Annihilation, despite its visual appeal, without a truly unique selling point.
