NetEase Games' Marvel Rivals kicks off Season 1: Eternal Night Falls with a surprise gift for players: free Peni Parker and Scarlet Witch skins! This generous offering is included in the standard Season 1 battle pass. The season, running from January 10th to April 11th, 2025, features a thrilling storyline where Dracula attacks New York City, prompting the Fantastic Four to step in.
The Fantastic Four are the stars of this season's character additions. Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman are immediately available, with Human Torch and The Thing joining the roster in a mid-season update. Leaks suggest Human Torch will be a Duelist class, and The Thing a Vanguard.
Players can earn the free Peni Parker (Blue Tarantula skin) and Scarlet Witch (Emporium Matron skin) cosmetics by progressing through the free battle pass tiers. While the premium battle pass (990 Lattice, approximately $10) unlocks additional rewards, including a Scarlet Witch MVP animation, significant free content is readily available via quests and Chrono Tokens. Peni Parker's skin is found on page three, featuring a striking blue and white design. Scarlet Witch's skin, located on page nine, boasts a crimson and purple aesthetic with a unique animation. A free Scarlet Witch emote is also included in the standard pass. A separate Midnight Features event offers a free Thor skin through quest completion.
Beyond the free rewards, the in-game shop offers new premium skins for Invisible Woman (Malice – a black and red villainous look) and Mister Fantastic (The Maker – a dark gray and blue design with a mask). The abundance of new content has generated significant excitement among Marvel Rivals fans.
