Novel Rogue: KEMCO's Unique Card-Deck Building Game Arrives on Android

KEMCO's latest Android release, Novel Rogue, is a captivating pixel-art fantasy JRPG with roguelite elements and card deck-building mechanics. This enchanting adventure immerses players in a world brimming with books, magic, and strategic combat. The intriguing storylines add depth to the gameplay experience, ensuring each playthrough is unique.

Players assume the role of Wright, a young apprentice under the tutelage of Yuisil, the Witch of Portals, within the Ancient Library. Wright embarks on a journey through four magical books, each transporting him to a distinct and captivating world. One book might find him aiding a princess knight in reclaiming a fallen kingdom, while another plunges him into the enigmatic mysteries of the underworld. Every choice shapes the narrative, guaranteeing replayability and diverse gameplay experiences.

Novel Rogue's Gameplay Mechanics:

The core gameplay revolves around a turn-based card battle system, dynamically adapting to the world explored within each book. Each of the four realms presents a unique deck-building system. Players defeat enemies, select from three new cards after each battle, and strategically craft their ultimate deck for optimal combat effectiveness.

A "Change" command allows for strategic damage redistribution among allies, while "Novel Power" enhances decks using ink. For a heightened challenge, "Deep Record" mode significantly increases dungeon difficulty, rewarding players with thrilling, high-stakes battles.

As players progress, they collect treasures to strengthen relationships with characters, unlocking special endings. "Witch Stones" provide a cosmetic element, allowing players to customize character costumes.

Novel Rogue is available now on the Google Play Store as a free-to-play title. A premium version offers 150 bonus Witch Stones and additional benefits such as ad-free gameplay.
