Concerns about weapon design similarity in Monster Hunter Rise (Wilds is likely a typo) prompted comparisons to Monster Hunter: World. While World weapons often shared a base design modified by monster materials, Rise director Yuya Tokuda confirmed a distinct approach. Each weapon in Rise boasts a unique design, addressing fan concerns about repetitive aesthetics.
This contrasts sharply with World, where even high-level weapon upgrades sometimes retained significant similarities. The image below illustrates this, showcasing the resemblance between certain final-stage weapons in World.
