Josef Fares, the creative force behind Hazelight Studios, recently shed light on the highly anticipated game, *Split Fiction*, during an insightful interview. Fares reiterated Hazelight's staunch commitment to steering clear of live-service models and microtransactions, emphasizing a pure focus on delivering exceptional gaming experiences. He firmly stated, "We're not going public. No microtransactions. We focus solely on delivering great gaming experiences," dispelling any speculation about the studio going public or being acquired by a larger entity.
In his conversation with MinnMax, Fares revealed that the central narrative of *Split Fiction* is designed to last between 12 to 14 hours, a duration that mirrors the beloved *It Takes Two*. For those looking to dive deeper into the game's world, optional missions and additional content can extend the gameplay experience up to 16-17 hours.
While Hazelight has carved a niche in cooperative gaming, Fares hinted at the studio's openness to venturing into single-player territories in the future. He also disclosed that the development budget for *Split Fiction* is double that of *It Takes Two*. Despite this significant investment, Hazelight has chosen to forgo post-launch DLC, ensuring that all features are available to players right from the game's launch. *Split Fiction* is set to captivate gamers worldwide on March 6th, available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
